A little about me and my tremendous views

Hi. I'm Bryce. I write and take pictures, but do neither professionally. I also love music, though I don't play it. I'm privileged to be a stay-at-home parent, which is, as something of an introvert, both a blessing and a curse. I have thoughts about things and no one within earshot who is interested in them. That's where you come in.

I've established this little platform to shout into the abyss, in the hopes that it catches the ear of someone who can appreciate it. I've called it Tremendous Views as a self-deprecating bit of wordplay. While my primary passion is portraiture, I've been able to do a fair amount of traveling, and I always take peripheral photos (as one does) to capture the time and place. Those are the visual "views" that partially encompass the site name.

I also love context—I think it's what makes other people interesting. I want to tell the story of a photo, if it has one, which usually ends up being a jumping-off point into philosophical ramblings. Enter writing, and the other half of my "tremendous views." I'm just poking fun at the narcissism inherent in feeling the need to create a blog, that what I have to say demands an audience. This applies to my opinions on photography, music, parenthood, and whatever else moves me to compose a paragraph or three. This is what you'll get with me: Observations on art and life colored with introspection and humor. If that appeals to you, I hope you'll stick around.
